Sega Dreamcast Zip Disk

A Zip drive for the Sega Dreamcast was developed by Iomega but never released. The drive itself was only slightly modified from the PC version. It would be connected to the Dreamcast via the modem expansion port. This would have increased the Dreamcast's storage capacity for e-mail and Internet files - such as future DLC. Sega announced the product in March 1999, Iomega in April 1999. The drive was to have a retail price of US $199 and release in the third quarter of 2000. Only a small number of prototype units are thought to exist. With thanks to Sega Dreamcast Info for this donation, along with the information.
